When planning for retirement, we always want to start at the beginning of the process.

That is, saving the money and how we invest the money.

We start at the beginning, right? That just makes perfect sense.

Wrong. When it comes to planning for retirement, you need to start at the end.

about a lot because we, I mean, you know, the older you get, the more you should take, think

about it. The more you do think about it. Actually, you should be thinking about it younger than we

probably did. No question.

Don't do what we did. Do what we say we should have done. Did. It worked for my dad. Yeah.

Sure. Why not? But, okay, what am I talking about when I say start at the end? I'm talking about you

really can't have a plan until you know your destination.

It's like planning a trip but not knowing where you're going.

Maybe you need to, before you start to pay for the trip and figure out how to save for the trip,

you ought to go ahead and know how much that trip's going to cost you.

Does that make sense?

Makes total sense. Most people, actually, most people when you talk to about retirement want to move

right to the, as you said, how much they saved and how they're invested. Right. What should I
