On the evening of July 13, 2023, New York authorities took into custody Rex Huerman

of Massa Piqua, Long Island.

The architect was a resident connection with what has been called the Long Island serial

killer case.

It's a huge development.

Since late 2010, the remains of at least 10 people have been found on Gilgo Beach.

The investigation first began when a young woman by the name of Shannon Gilbert disappeared.

While investigators were searching for Gilbert, they found the other remains.

Gilbert's body was finally found a year later, but police ruled her death and accident

and determined it was not a result of a crime.

I've been covering this story since 2011.
