This US real GDP quarter or quarter goes back to the late 1940s on Wycharts and you

can see it go all over the place and you overlay the recessions there.

It was down 90 basis points with a quarter of a two quarterly GDP prints that were negative.

the very beginning in 1947, GDP contracted two quarters in a row and there wasn't a recession.
