It's our buddy. Joe Hoyt. Joe, what's going on, man? How you doing? I'm good. I'm enjoying this kind of gloomy weather, to be honest with you, as a former Oregon resident. So, you know, I'm kind of happy today. It, it fits the mood with the stars losing last night, that's for sure. So let's talk about this. Just bird's eye view before we break into it. And we talked to you last week and the Caleb Downs selection, of course, I know that that was your guy, my guy as well, that, man, A-plus. I've joked last week, I was like, I don't even care what they do the rest of the draft.

Caleb Downs, we've won the draft.

This is awesome.

But seriously, when you look at it on day two and three with what they did, what do you make of the overall class?

Yeah, it's funny.

Just kind of touching on that Caleb Downs thing, our buddy RJ Ochoa over at the blog and the boys, he like keeps tweeting out like every day. Like, you know, today's news and the Cowboys also Caleb Downs is a Cowboy.

and to your point, that is the headliner.

That is something that I think we're going to look back and be like, man, same way we look at C.D. Lamb is like,

how did that happen, right?

But for the rest of the draft, like, I do think that there is some kind of intriguing things.

I think the J.on Barham pick is incredibly interesting because I actually had him mocked in my last mock draft to the Cowboys in the fourth round, not the third. But I did look at him as, hey, maybe this is some guy with some edge potential that I can come into a rotational piece. And in that case, they didn't get a guy like Malacay and Lawrence in the first round. The fact of playing that linebacker, or at least this where they're going to start initially, is incredibly interesting to me. I think they look at him as an Arvel Reese type guy who could play off ball linebacker, but come off the edge in certain blitz packages or certain sub packages.

I'm incredibly intrigued to see just how they end up using him over an oxnard.

And then I think, you know, Devin Moore, in my opinion, is a very interesting prospect.

The corner they got out of Florida, this is the guy that, you know, has some medical stuff in terms of a lot of games missed. They said they didn't want red shirts, but clearly in the fourth round, they were willing to take risks. And then the last guy, like, I'm really intrigued with is L.T. Overton. If you look at the Cowboys starting lineup right now, you can pencil in Kenny Clark and Quinn and Williams as they're starting defensive tackles. But what about the third? And I think that there is going to be opportunity for a guy like L.C.

Overton to potentially earn starting reps or at least rotational reps very early on for a

fourth round pick.

So when you look at this and we knew how bad the defense was last year, man, you need a

complete overhaul.

And then you go, man, that's not realistic as far as an NFL franchise goes.

You can't completely overhaul it.

This feels like it.

This feels like this is pretty much as much as you can do to try and change the talent
