Hello, mom and dad are fighting listeners. It's me, Gabe. I am here in our podcast studio with Seth

0:06.0

Stevenson. He is both a new dad and the host of Slate's podcast. Who Runs That? Seth,

0:13.7

how old is your kid right now? Ten months. Is that still a new dad if your child is 10 months old?

0:18.0

I think first year is still a new dad. Well, then I'm a new dad. All right. Tell us about who runs that. Who runs that is an interview show where I talk to CEOs and other various leaders of organizations about the companies that they run and how they run them. Is it just any company? It's not just any company. It's a company that we think you, the listener, will be intrigued by. Either it's a company that you're familiar with. You have the product in your house. You love the product. It's a company you've heard a lot about. It's a company that you say, I know that product. I know that service. Gosh, I've never thought about the business behind it, the nuts and bolts, the P&Ls. and I'd like to hear about the person who runs it and hear about the nuts and bolts of the business and also a little bit about the journey of that person and how they think about running the business. Cool. So we're going to share an episode of this show with mom and dad are fighting listeners. Who are you talking to in this episode? This show is with Aaron Nicole. She is the founder and CEO of KikiPants, which is a clothing

company that started as an infant clothing company, is still best known as a infant and children's

1:17.4

clothing company. And what is it that's special about KikiPants? So I will confess that when my 10-month-old

1:24.1

was an infant, and actually up until this day we have used kicky pants clothes that

1:28.3

and the ones that we like are these zip up ones are like the one piece things where you put their

1:32.1

arms in their legs in and then you just zip them up really easy for him to sleep in and it was

1:35.3

and when we were looking around for ones to use kicky pants was the one that was like the stretchiest

1:40.2

the easiest to wrangle a squirming baby into because the fabric was very stretchy, but also

1:45.3

soft and we became fans. And when I was thinking about companies to talk to for this show,

1:51.1

Kicky Pants occurred to me as one to talk to. So Aaron Nicole founded this company while she was

1:56.3

on bed rest while she was pregnant with a child and she was trying to invent better baby clothes.

2:01.5

And she had previously worked a little bit in the textiles industry, and so she knew that

2:06.0

world. And so she went on a search for the best possible infant clothing fabric, and she felt

2:12.2

she found it. And that's been sort of the basis of the company since that and some cute prints.

2:17.3

Cool. So here you go. Here's the episode of Who Runs That in which Seth Stevenson is talking to Aaron Nicole of KikiPants. Thanks for listening.

Her name is Aaron Nicole, and she had the idea for this company while pregnant and on bed rest.

2:46.1

She wanted to create better infant clothing, clothes that would dry quickly to prevent baby rashes, and would
