I think it's been really helpful to get their perspective on what they're seeing up close and how it fits into the bigger picture.

It can be hard to stomach some of the images and stories coming out of Israel and

Gaza right now. It's really disturbing, but it's important to document what's

happening there. Even now, some of that terror is coming into

sharper focus.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, the death toll has risen past 1,200 in Israel, and the

Palestinian Ministry of Health says over a thousand people have been killed in Gaza.

On Wednesday, an Israeli government spokesperson said,

babies and toddlers were found in a southern Israeli kibbutz

over the weekend, with their heads decapitated.

Hamas

targeting children, but it's this kind of accusation

that has so many Jews around the world,

comparing this to historical acts of evil. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said as much on a call with U.S. President Joe Biden on Tuesday.

We were struck Saturday by an attack whose savagery I can say we have not seen since the Holocaust.
