Hey, Joe, how are you doing? I'm doing good, Josh. How are you? I'm

excited to do this. Yeah, me too. I'm pumped. So look, I think we wanted to start off by just

talking about what we want this to be. You know, I think the TPM has for a while kind of experimented with different podcasts.

And I think, you know, for the idea for this one is we talk about politics, we talk about

current events, culture, but just have this like a really, really conversational style that

hopefully brings TPA out and more people. Yeah, and I think one of the things that we hope to accomplish here is over time bring in, you know, guests, other people from the media world, other journalists, other just interesting people.

Hence the social club moniker really just have conversations with people where we're talking

about yeah what's going on in the news what's going on in culture movies from time to time

probably just have episodes about a single subject that we're both interested in that maybe

is not tied to what's going on so So I've been thinking about it just,

yeah, like a social club. Like you walk in, you see who's there. What are people talking about?

And we'll take it from there. So I'm really excited. Yeah. Let's get going. Yeah. And I think,

I think that idea also where people can kind of casually tune in, like, you know, we're talking about Barry Weiss or we have somebody on to talk about, you know, something we're interested in that's like not necessarily like political news. And they can just tune in for like 10 minutes, you know, tune out, go take care of something in their house or whatever it is. I just kind of like kind of fall back and forth like i think that's that's part of the idea yeah absolutely yeah so look great i think

you know i think let's do the fucking news yeah exactly yeah let's do the fucking news

so i'm curious what you think about this i Yeah, exactly. Yeah, let's see the fucking news. Let's see the fucking news. Yeah.

So I'm curious what you think about this. I have a ton of thoughts on it ranging from the journalistic implications to the business side implications. What were your thoughts, though,

when you first saw this? You know, what do you think

about the free press generally, how this relates to the media environment, just anything you got
