We've got to be out of this space tomorrow to begin prepping for the studio upgrade that will then take place Wednesday through Sunday with the hopes that if all goes well so no shows at all on Thursday and Friday.

So I know a lot of you if you are long time listeners to the show know I have a bit of a background both in terms of constructing and also covering the nuts and bolts of politics polling data things of that nature right doing this has become increasingly difficult.

Because for a long time the polling industry on horse race stuff you have not been able to trust the issue based polling from legacy media for quite a long time now that's all been push polling to make the questions is favorable to their preferred agenda as possible but.

And I follow this stuff I've documented it for literally decades you you actually have been able to trust us a lot of the horse race polling you in midterms when turnout is lower and so therefore if one group shows up unexpectedly higher it can swing a much more massive you know outcome in an election but a lot of times at least to some degree there has been some form of credibility within the horse race polling.

And just as any other shred of credibility the spirit of the age decided to cast aside here in the Trump era the maga era that has now happened to polling.

And I think I showed you guys have the 16 polls that were used in the real clear politics polling average in 2020 only five were within their margin for errors five out of the 16 and when I say the others were not within the margin for I mean like nowhere near.

And then was off by nine points me that's just.

You can't pay for somebody to be that bad unless you're really paying for somebody to be that good if you know I'm saying she right you know I'm saying I do that you hear me knocking and I'm coming in.

So today I'm going to unveil today officially is five weeks until the midterm elections I keep being a week early because I keep forgetting with November first being the first Tuesday that the election gets pushed back a week to the eighth.

So five weeks from today will be the midterm elections.

And since we can't even really rely on the real clear politics polling average any longer.

But I still believe in wisdom in a multitude of counsel as the good book says so here's what we are going to debut today.

I have created the proven polling average.
