the launch of a brand new Canadian podcast from our friend Danielle Parody, a reporter with

APTN News. It's called The Place That Thores. You might remember Danny from some of our previous

episodes. It was she who discovered that archive of

historic letters and documents that became the Murderous Mountie series, and I also had the

pleasure of working with her on other episodes, including the Saskatoon Freezing Deaths. In the

place that Thors, Danny and a colleague traveled to the Arctic, Canada's most northern communities

to speak with locals about how the changing weather has affected their way of life,

their communities and the landscape. You'll hear why a simple plan to go ice fishing is no longer

guaranteed. And in this week's episode, Danny speaks with a 22-year-old

Enuk dog sledder about how it all works now with much less snow.

That is the sound of a hungry sled dog.

It's fascinating, visceral and charming, not to mention concerning,
