The Observer.

Hello, it's Claudia here, except this week I am not introducing a new episode of the slow newscast.

Instead, I'm here with something of an announcement.

Now, you may have noticed that I have not been around as much recently,

and that is because I've got a new job within the observer. I'm still getting involved in the

same stories that you hear just in a different way. And as a result, that means there will be a bit

of a change in the slow newscast. And that starts with a new host. Someone who will be familiar to many of you,

our investigations editor and the man behind Sweet Bobby, who trolled Amber and Elon's spies,

to name just a few of his many hits. Alexi Mosteris, welcome to the slow newscast.

Thank you so much, Claudia. I am very excited.

So from next week, Alexi will be taking over from me as host.

Alexi, what does that actually mean?

Well, we'll still have the same promise, a new story every week told by our team of amazing reporters,

but with a bit more of an insight from me at the top of the show to tell you a little about what you can expect.

And you will be reporting some of them, I hope?

Yes, I'm working on a few stories right now and hoping to bring the first one out in a few weeks.

Okay, amazing. What kind of stories, aside from your own, can listeners look forward to?

We've got everything from looking at the dark fleets patrolling

our oceans to the rise and fall of Bumble, from reform councils to designer babies and 21st

century eugenics. All sounds very exciting. And as sad as I am to be handing over to you,

I'm very excited to become more of a listener.

And we obviously want to hear from you too, the listeners.
