So if you're like me, whenever you listen to the news, you feel forced to choose between two sides.

The conspiracy-obsessed authoritarian personality cult on one side and a sanctimonious group of wannabe postmodern sociology professors on the other.

And that doesn't sound fun at all.

The problem is the media environment reflects these two sides and forces us into a false choice that doesn't represent who we truly are. People are more complicated. They don't fit neatly into these two groups and we believe media should reflect that. That's where the lost debate steps in. What's up, guys? This is Corey Brought. And I'm Robbie Gupta. I once hosted a show for a Fox News affiliated radio station. I've worked as an organizer for several progressive political campaigns, and I've created a political satire page on TikTok, which gained more than half a million followers. So I know a thing or two about straight up bullshit. And Ravi and I are going to help you sift through it. And I'm less funny than Corey, but like him, I'm also a former political operative. I was one of the first staffers on Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, then I went on to become a school principal and superintendent of charter schools. I fought Republicans at the ballot box, but then fought alongside them for those same schools. Ravi and I have both seen different parts of this country. I was born and raised in small town Alabama where it was one of the most conservative districts in America.

And I grew up in Staten Island, one of the last swing districts in the country, to a family that split down the middle politically.

We see that this country is more politically divided now than ever before.

But we also believe we're not as different as the media makes us out

to be. So that's why we're launching the lost debate. It's a podcast and YouTube show for those

who've lost trust in our polarizing partisan world. We'll bring you news ideas and trends from around

the country that are being overlooked. We'll also bring people together to have the conversations

that the media isn't having to empathize with each other

and challenge each other in good faith. And we're going to throw in some political satire and skits

because I'm a TikTok star, so why to hell not? The Lost Debate coming Tuesday, October 26th.
