For years, people asked me why I didn't have a podcast.

And I'd be on radio and TV a lot,

but I didn't want to add another podcast to the pile.

I didn't want to do news of the day or have interviews

or people where they discuss the news of the day.

I felt like there were a lot of people doing that,

some like Clam Buck doing it exceptionally well,

and I didn't have anything to add.

So what I realized was that people want to hear

about other things and my most popular columns

and conversations were when I'd get into cultural

and social issues.

What's marriage really like?

Why are we lied to about what it's like to have children?

What does it mean to succeed in your career?

I call these the kinds of conversations

that make people really lean in and listen.
