Lab, Yale professor Dr. Laurie Santos shares the evidence-based strategies proven to help

us live more joyful lives.

Right now on the Happiness Lab, Laurie is talking about ancient thinkers, philosophers, and spiritual

leaders, people who figured out important well-being tips that are still relevant today.

In this preview, Laurie gets into Achilles.

When he finally enters battle, he does so in a fit of rage that causes him to commit

atrocities and bring dishonor on himself.

So what can we learn from this angry character in Homer's epic poem The Iliad?

Laurie is joined by Harvard Classics expert Greg Naish, an MIT associate professor of classical

literature Stephanie Frampton, to take a look at how anger can creep up on us and what

we can do to defuse this sometimes-explosive emotion.
