The Oh, Hey there and welcome to the Sidious Mag podcast I'm your host Chris Chavez and this is the point where I realized that I called it

Sidious as opposed to Kiteus which is the proper Latin pronunciation for the Latin

word for faster but it looks like we're going to try and revolutionize the word.

Let's also not forget that people differed on their pronunciation of Grantland when it was still a website. So if you've come across this

podcast and you've also probably come across a little site that I just

launched so it's kiteus mag.com or sitius mag. com you we can go back and forth between the pronunciation and

the site's gonna serve as a little bit of a side project for me as I've

teamed up with a team of writers and photographers to create a space where you know we can

write short little snackable posts pertaining to the latest happenings within the sport of

track and field or sometimes you know just the average

runners life. I'm still with Sports Illustrated but I wanted a place where I could

you know share a couple thoughts here and there without having to bug my editor about you know a

thousand words that might not fit a size large audience but I feel like it's something

that the track-centric community could still use. The crew is ready to have some fun.

We have insight and analysis on everything.

We'll have some profiles.

We've already had a couple Q&As.

And we've also got a humor section where we're going to share quite

a bit of jokes.

It's a great crew of people and as a listener I'd like to welcome you on board for the
