Dr. George Ackerman (Sharon’s son) is from Brooklyn, N.Y. Now residing in Florida, he works in the fields of law, police, and education. George lost his mother, Sharon Riff Ackerman on 1/1/2020 due to Parkinson’s Disease.

George wanted to honor his mother and continue to help in the Parkinson’s awareness cause and did not know how to bring change. We started TogetherForSharon® as a family for the purpose of keeping my mother, Sharon Riff Ackerman’s, memory alive and to share the message of Parkinson’s Awareness and hope for a cure.

1:08.6	each other for a little while now and you know I have such a great empathy and sympathy for you know your
1:16.3	mission and that's for your mother Sharon who you know tragically did get
1:21.0	diagnosed and passed from Parkinson's disease and you know your story has always just really
1:25.7	resonated with me even though my father didn't have a disease like Parkinson's or dementia or
1:30.9	anything but you know I was advocating trying to help him. or I say prematurely. It's not from old age, it's from something else. I just think it's not that it's ever easy, but I just feel like it makes it a little more difficult. You know, because we tell our kids all the time you get one mom you get one dad you know you can't go get another one you know step-parents obviously excluded but
2:00.6	So we had talked and we decided we wanted to maybe do something together and we came up with the care advocates which we're going to be launching right here right now.

2:13.0	Before that, I just want to say how much I admire your work and everything that all home care matters does because it does matter,
2:20.0	but you're reaching so many people that need to know that you know they have
2:25.4	support too and that's why I don't you know obviously we're both busy and we
2:30.1	don't team up with just anyone but whenever I think of you and all the work you do, it inspires me and that's what keeps me also fighting.
2:38.0	And to bring up the good news is, yeah, just like you have just become an author and this is my first
2:45.2	book on this is actually my first book in advocacy I've written before in the law and
2:49.9	criminal justice but this one actually means a lot to me and you're also, I want to congratulate you on your book,
