So we are bringing you something a little special, a little extra in the feed this week.

And I am personally pretty excited about it because it is courtesy of someone that I have

thought was cool since I was, I don't know, like eight years old.

You may know LaVar Burton as the host of Reading Rainbow.

I first got to know him as Jordi La Forge on Star Trek and I just thought, God, what,

how could you be any cooler? I love, I just thought God what what how could you be any cooler I love I just always wanted to be the engineer

so anyway he he does all sorts of stuff but Laverberton recently launched his new children's podcast called Sound Detectives.

And it is this funny, great podcast that invites kids in to explore the magic and mystery of

sound.

And in this podcast, the sound detectors,

they go all across the globe

as they're searching for sounds that are going missing.

So the crickets stop chirping the waves stop crashing the ice cream truck doesn't have a jingle and it is up to the sound detectives it is up to Detective

Hutch and his sidekick Audie the Ear to solve these sound mysteries.

They've got to track them down and they've got to defeat the mysterious sound

swindler. All with a little help from

Laver Burton himself so it's just a really it's such a fun podcast and I think if you got kids call them over

it's just a delight so to set up the clip from the show that we're playing today,

Audie and Hutch are sound detectives. They've just gotten some shocking news from

LaVar. They are still searching for some missing sounds and to find them,

they have to go to this incredibly famous performance venue and learn about the ways that bats and

dolphins use sound to find their way around.
