So your parents are old, and you're looking for some help dealing with that.

Well, I'm Vanessa Grigoriades, and I am here to talk. I've been going through it

for a while now. My mom, who has dementia, has become the center of my life. Even as I go about my

career, raise my kids, pay my mortgage, and buy my daughter a bunch of shockingly expensive costume jewelry.

Like it's made out of yarn and then has some beads on it that spell out sleigh.

So, yes, in the middle of all of these just humdrum annoyances of life,

there are then a million fires that are burning.

Because of my mom. I do love her, of course. But sometimes it feels like my life is burning to the

ground. No one wants to talk about this. Are you freaked out that I'm even talking about this?
