Hey everyone I'm Brian Boitler. I write off message and I'm Matthew Iglesias. I've read slow boring. He is big on the internet folks.

And we're going to team up for this next year to bring you a weekly podcast about the 2024 election.

It's called Politics with an X.

And we're very excited.

We're excited about the X.

We were 90s kids.

We'd like to put Xs and things.

And we've been friends for almost like 20 years. We're overdue for a little collaboration.

We're going to we're going to talk amongst ourselves. We're going to interview some people with

interesting things to say. Now that we're both on sub-stack you know the

logistics are right for us to do something together. That's right so sub-stack if you

know my work or more likely you know Max work and you enjoy it or in the case of Matt you hate it and you want to check

out the show go to politics.FN.

We're going to drop our first episode in January give everyone a few weeks off see if they

like what they're hearing then after that there's going to be

full episodes for paying subscribers. So why are we doing this Matt? Well it's you know there's an

election next year and it's just a cynical cash grab.

Okay, but like apart from our pecuniary interests, like, there is some pretty well-known political

podcasts, many of which feature dudes talking about the election.

What's going to make our show better?

It's going to be way better.

Look, you know, a lot of politics content is like just horse race stuff, just poll analytics,
