Home art book club podcast and I have with me Terry Wilson, the author of the book, The

Art of Us which was turned into a home art movie and we're going to be talking a little

bit about this book and kind of your journey as a writer Terry, thanks so much for joining

me today.

Sure, I'm happy to be here, thanks for having me.

So let me ask you, let's just dive right into it.

How did you get into writing in general?

Like what was your background, your process, like your story with writing?

Well, I grew up as an only child and I was really shy and quiet and so I read a lot.

I read all the time when I was a kid.

So I've always been a really big book lover and I guess it was, I mean I really started

writing about 12 years or so ago at the time my son was in middle school and I was teaching

a Bible study at my church and we were looking for, you know, I'm a big animal lover, I

had a lot of animal lovers in my group.

And we were looking for a Bible study that talked about animals and what, you know, what

the Bible said about animals and we couldn't find one.

And I mentioned it at home one day and my son Cameron said, well, mom, you should write

one.

You could do that.
