The news today seems pretty grim.

The United States has more gun deaths than any other developed country.

We have 2.3 million people in prison.

Pictures are now emerging from inside a detention center for children.

We're getting nothing. No one's helping us.

It's easy to forget that there are still many, many people out there trying to make the world a better place.

And those people have some pretty wild ideas.

This is a show about those ideas.

And the weird and wonderful ways that they could make the world a better place.

We know that there are many species that are in danger of becoming extinct.

So the basic idea is that often people want to donate a kidney to a loved one, but they're not a good match.

We need to cut CO2 emissions. We need to cut methane emissions, nitrous oxide, all these that are greenhouse gases.

We're going to look at some big problems, but we're also going to look at some big solutions.

Simply tell the border patrol to take the day off.

Tell them to take the year off.
