Hi, this is John. I'm the writer of Red Valley. While we're in production on season three,

we're delighted to be sharing another show on our feed that we

think you're really going to love. Dirt is an audio drama that felt like a real breath of fresh

air when I found it. In a medium that has so much genre content, horror, sci-fi, fantasy and so

on, sometimes I find I really want to find something more real world and grounded, but something

that can still really

suck me in and hold my attention, and I found that with dirt. Dirt and audio drama is a scripted

fiction podcast set in present-day Washington State in the US about a man's journey to unlock a

family mystery and find things long ago buried. The story follows Joseph Elo, a Seattle-based tech celebrity who one day receives

a mysterious letter in the mail from his grandfather who died 30 years previously. The letter

contains vague clues about the need to find things that may be hidden in various locations, a real

treasure hunt mystery. As Joseph becomes more interested, he struggles to maintain the balance

between his newfound obsession and his work responsibilities and ultimately has to decide

what he wants to do with the rest of his life. The first thing I noticed when I started listening

to Dirt is the amazing production value and totally immersive sound design. For a show that's so

concerned with environment of where

its characters are in the world and the direct impact that has on them, it's really striking

how this attention to detail affects your own emotional attachment to the story. There's a moment

where a character just rolls down the window of their car to listen to the crickets outside,

and for a lovely moment,
