No, I'm really pleased to be here and I'm really excited to tell you about my new podcast

captains.

Yeah, so if you are a pure cycling fan and you don't know that much about Sam,

you are of course Sam a former captain of the Wales rugby team and a two-time British and Irish Lions captain.

So what can we expect from your show?

Captains is the podcast that gives listeners leadership insights from some of the biggest names from the world of sport.

So each week I chat with a different world-class sporting leader to compare notes and we share stories about what it's really like to wear the armband at the highest level.

This sounds so good. So when you were growing up, who were the captains that you looked up to?

If I had to pick three and it's taken a lot of thought, I would pick quite a nice mix,

Paul O'Connell, Roy Keane and Ledley King.

Oh, nice.

So we've got an Irish rugby captain, we've got a Man United captain, and we've got Spurs captain.

What was it about those three that you liked?

I say a nice mix.

Actually, two of them are Irish and two of them play football.

But outside of rugby, I guess, two of them.
