like her last note, the case involving a teenage musician, Jesse Blodgett. And now I'm the host of a new

true crime podcast from 2020 and ABC audio called Blood and Water. It's a heartbreaking story about loss, loyalty, and a family nearly shaken by tragedy.

We tell the story of Leslie Prier, a mom who was living in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., before

she was found brutally murdered in her bathroom.

Suspicion fell on her husband Sandy, and for years, he was considered a top suspect.

But decades later, innovations in forensic technology gave detectives the chance to re-examine

the DNA of another unknown person at the scene of the crime.

Finally, after more than 20 years, these cold case

detectives were able to piece together evidence that revealed the real killer and brought justice

to Leslie's family. In blood and water, we'll be sharing the whole story over the next six weeks.
