Now despite the way they met, Shakita was all in on great.

He had kind of swept Shakita off her feet.

And she called her mentor, Judge Johnson, and told her that she was planning to marry

Gregg. Shakita had even moved into Gregg's home not long after they began dating.

However, things were not as perfect as it may appear in Shakita and Gregg's relationship.

Now like many women in Shakita's position, she didn't tell her friends everything happening

behind closed doors.

In December 2007, not long after Shakita moved in with Gregg, police were called to the

couple's home.

Now, what sparked the argument is not clear, but whatever it was about had turned violent.

Reports say that he had grabbed Shakita by the neck and choked her.

And Shakita called Don 1-1 and Gregg was arrested and charged with domestic violence.
