On October the 7th, 1913, the moving assembly line for the Model T chassis went operational,

and the effects were immediate.

Under this new system, the time to assemble a Model T plummeted from 12 hours, just one hour and 33 minutes per car.

That's an enormous jump, I thought that 500% for Oldsmobile was impressive, but

well, Ford's really pumping out those Model T's.

By 1914, the Highland Park plant was churning out a thousand cars a day,

a scale of output unimaginable just a few years prior. Yeah, one location, one place in Highland Park,

Altsmobile, we're doing 20 with a 500% increase.

Henry Ford comes along and he's like, nah, we'll do a thousand.

Ford combined interchangeable parts with subdivided labour and a continuously moving chassis to creator's moving assembly line.
