And in 2014, we had a dinosaur-themed wedding, and a few months later, we started

this podcast, I Know Dino.

There's a new dinosaur discovered almost every week, and there weren't really any weekly

dinosaur podcast, so we started this one. Each week, we cover the latest dinosaur news, and we

feature a dinosaur of the day. We also interview paleontologists, paleo artists, filmmakers,

authors, and tons of other dinosaur professionals. And we promise that if you listen to our show, you'll always be up to

date on dinosaur science. Hopefully you'd like it. And I should say, if you cringe at the audio in the

first few episodes, we didn't know what we were doing, but we know what we're doing now. So if you

jump ahead to the latest episode, I promise things sound much better. You can also listen to our

As you notice from the title, this is our episode zero, which is our intro to dinosaurs.

We're going to cover some things you should know about Jurassic Park and where you can learn more.

Also some basics about dinosaurs. So they started out as bipedal carnivores. Bipedal mean walk on two legs.

And they evolved in the Triassic about 240 million years ago. But things didn't really get going until after a mass extinction event that started the whole Jurassic period.

Yeah, by that point, there were three main groups of dinosaurs. You have sauropodomorphs, Ornithiscians, and Theropods.
