Summary

2020 was shaping up to be a promising year for 25-year-old Jonathan Amerault of Keene, New Hampshire. He was working his way up the ranks in a career he loved, as a Biomedical Engineer. He had just purchased his first home and was in the process of remodeling it himself. The only thing missing from John’s life was a partner to share it with. Eventually, he did find a potential partner. A woman he saw a potential future with. But when he and a fellow co-worker turned up missing on the same cold September night, his family could never have prepared themselves for the grisly discovery in a desolate stretch of Northern New Hampshire forest.  Written by Michael Dunphy Jr., Executive Produced by Michael Ojibway. It's not a topic we necessarily seek out.

0:47.6

If anything, the amount of murders we see at the hands of violent spouses or partners

0:52.6

is simply a testament to how large and widespread the issue actually is as a whole.

0:59.3

The big part of what we're trying to do with Invisible Choir, aside from shedding light

1:03.2

on these broader issues, is actually narrowing in, shining a light on the victims who may

1:08.8

otherwise have been forgotten.

1:11.2

We try to focus on the legacies of those who weren't given the appropriate attention

Some of the edger podcasts out there might call that being social justice warriors.

1:22.4

We simply call it being decent human beings.

There's a lot of victims who go unseen in this space.

1:30.4

That's one of the reasons why bigger true crime networks don't cover many of these smaller

Sadly, it's often because they're not, quote, marketable enough, which is a gross concept
