Wherever you are in the world today, welcome to the morning mindset.

This is a program that is designed to help you get your mind aligned to the truth of God's word for this day.

I say that greeting the way that I do because I know that there are people listening all around the globe. I can see from my stats that people in Zambia are listening, people in Italy,

people in Malaysia, in Peru, in Nepal, in Jordan, people all over the world, coming to

get their minds aligned with the truth of God's word. Thank you so much for listening.

Today we are continuing our series, God's story, beginning at the beginning of history,

and going all the way through our current day, talking about what God is doing in the world

and throughout history. We're in chapter 20 or episode 20 today in this series

and we'll be looking at the book of Joshua chapter 4 versus 19 through 24. So get out your

Bibles. We're going to dig into it in just a moment. But before we do, I invite you to pray with me

as we seek God to be our help and instructor today. Our Lord and our God, it is always a

humbling thing to open your word. And I feel humbled that I get to attempt to teach it. Lord,

God, would you be the teacher today? Use my words, use my mind, use my expression to cause your

people to hear your word powerfully and truthfully

and effectively today. We ask in Jesus' name, amen. Okay, when Moses led the people out of Egypt

and established God's covenant with them, they began this journey toward what God was calling his promised land for them.

It was the land of Canaan.

It's the area, the region that we know today as modern day Israel.

And in Joshua chapter 4, Moses has now passed away, and Joshua is leading to people of God.

Joshua was really Moses' apprentice for all those years.

And here in chapter 4, verses 19 through 24, God has given Joshua instruction.

He tells him to walk across the Jordan River with the Ark of the Covenant, a piece of their
