The most important thing in your life today, next week, next month, next year, 20 years from now, 40 years from now,

the day that you pass away from this life, the most important thing in your life is not what you own. It's not even who you are.

The most important thing in your life is your personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ second to nothing else.

It is the most important thing in your life because everything

about you, everything in your environment, every relationship you have, your work, your friends,

your loved ones, your money, every single aspect of your life is affected by your relationship to him. Because you see,

when that's right, God can make all these other things so awesome. When it's not right,

no matter what you do and how hard you try, it's not going to work out right, you'll still be

looking for peace and joy and fulfillment and satisfaction and

contentment. You won't find any of that until first of all you develop an intimate relationship

with Jesus Christ. You say, well, now, what in the world is that? Notice I haven't mentioned church

or reading the Bible or praying or giving or witnessing

because that's not what we're talking about. Those are things Christians do. I'm talking about

a relationship. I'm talking about a personal relationship between you and God through his son,

Jesus Christ. And one of the most beautiful confessions of that

is found in Philippians, Chapter 3. And you might want to turn that, if you will. And I just want to

read two or three verses because Paul wrote the most intimate letter to these Philippian Christians,
