Hello, everyone. I'm Matt Negli with Next Best Picture, and I am being joined right now by the stars of the film Warfare. DeFarra Woonatai and Kit Connor. Gentlemen, welcome to the show.

Thank you so much for the time here. Thanks very much. Thank you for having us. Absolutely. Kit, wonderful seeing you again. Just saw you a couple of weeks ago, man. Hope you're doing well. And DeFarro. Yeah, man, all good. First time. And guys, I got to say, like for both of you, I'm just so excited to see where your careers are going.

This film, another in a wonderful line of work that you guys are doing so early on in your careers.

But I also have to imagine one of the most challenging and daunting, considering these are real people who put their lives on the line for their brothers in battle and then obviously

for us as well. And so I have to imagine like that must weigh a lot on both of you to do as

great of a job as you can. And like DeFerro in your case too, like you're cast as the director

of the film itself. So I mean, can you guys just tell me a little bit about like, you're cast as a director of the film itself.

So, I mean, can you guys just tell me a little bit about, like, how you guys deal with that kind of pressure? Because everyone's got different ways of handling that. Oh, to answer that question, I don't really think about it, to be honest. I mean, yes, I understand completely that, you know, I have a lot of pressure on my shoulders, and there's a lot of responsibilities that I have to tell to tell us Ray's story correctly like he wants it. And also even besides just Ray himself, you know, so many, so many veterans around the world can understand Ray's story and Ray specifically.

You know, and so, so in telling, in telling his personal story, he told, he's telling the story of countless others and so i understand

completely that that is a big responsibility for me um but yes it stuff was i mean it's it's it's

exhausting to watch you know what i mean it was it was a i just sit in the audience and be like that it

for the whole time it's exhausting to shoot it was too but you know i i can never say that uh uh it was the hardest because you know what we weren't actually we weren't there that day you know i mean we really didn't have an idea explode right next to us we didn't you know what i mean although there were very long takes and you know we give credit where it's due where you know all of us through our heart our heart into it and our souls into it and we drained ourselves
