Robbie Banffich. Hello, this is Cody Derrick's with Next Best Picture, and I am here in person with the director, writer, star, everything else of the new film Tinfin Road, Robbie Banfish. Robbie, how you doing?

I'm good. It's a very bright room that we're in.

Yes, yes. It was a very jarring moment when the lights turned on. It was very frightening. Your new film, Tinsen Road, really just absolutely blew me away. I was literally shaking when it was done. I'm not exaggerating there, which... Do you watch Real Housewives? Yes, I do. Were you physically shaking? Yeah, I was calling my lawyer number seven. Shout out Lisa.

I actually wrote physically shaky in my notes, and that was not a joke.

You weren't thinking about Lisa Borough?

I really wasn't.

I always think...

I usually am.

Yeah.

She is an ancillary Outwaters character as herself, because I don't think you saw Outwaters.

Did you see Card Zero, which was the prequel? I didn't. Prequel like short film. Well, Lisa Barlow's name is uttered. Uttered. And then I realized. Uttered implies like subter. I said her rapishously. In the name. Yeah. I mean, in the movie, I said her name. Oh. and I had gotten her permission to use her name.

Even though I didn't need it, but I didn't name. Uh-huh. And I had gotten her permission to use her name.

Even though I didn't need it, but I didn't want her to have, like, random outwaters people being like, hey, girl. So I asked her for me, she gave you me permission. Permish. Uh-huh. And then, anyways, this is too long of the story. but that's how I like started talking to her a little bit

and then I took some pictures of Vita Tequila

that she really liked. So she thanked me for them. And I said, here's my movie. No, I noticed there's. So that's why she commented on Tinsman Road out there. There was no Vita Tequila in Tinsman Road. Do you know, do you think of that as a mistake on your part? No, because it, uh, there, I don't believe believe there was Vita Tequila in around 2003, which is when the movie takes place. Okay, got it. Yeah. So we're locking us into a time place here. Thanks to Vita Tequila. I understand. Did you ever have it? No, I don't drink. All right. Well, it's good. Okay. Take your word for it. Trust. So I want to know about your general background as a filmmaker. This isn't your first movie. What really got you into filmmaking in the first place? How did you get into making something of the scale of the outwaters? Just telling me about yourself. I grew up in Jersey. Me too, her favorite movie. Where? Sparta, New Jersey about yourself. I grew up in Jersey.

Sparta, New Jersey?

Okay. I'm in North West. New Brunswick. So, Brockers. Oh, and yes. And I went to, like, high school and Bridgewater. It's all central. Central. Okay, I'm North. And then I filmed Townsend Road, northwest-ish, like by Blairstown and Byram.
