Summary

"Robot Dreams" had its world premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in the Special Screenings section, where it received enthusiastic reviews for its seemingly simple but complex telling of a story about connection and friendship between a Dog and a Robot, all without dialogue. Director, writer, and producer Pablo Berger was kind enough to spend some time talking with us about his experience making his first animated film, the challenges of telling the story without dialogue, his thoughts on being nominated for an Oscar, and more. Please be sure to check out the film, which is up for your consideration at this year's Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and will be released in the U.S. by NEON on May 31st.
