Summary

"Housekeeping For Beginners" had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, where it was awarded the Queer Lion Award. The third film from director Goran Stolevski is about the families we're born into and the ones we find for ourselves. It has now screened at the Mill Valley, Chicago, Adelaide, Twin Cities, and NewFest film festivals and is the Macedonian selection for the Best International Feature Film at the 96th Academy Awards. Stolevski (who we interviewed earlier this year for his second film, "Of An Age") returned to the podcast to discuss his latest feature film, which will be released by Focus Features in 2024 after its qualifying run for the Oscars this year.
