Summary

"Firebrand" had its world premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, where it received solid reviews for its telling of Katherine Parr (Alicia Vikander), Queen of England, and the wife and widow of Henry VIII (Jude Law). Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz ("The Invisible Life Of Euridice Gusmao") made his first film in the English language with this adaptation of the 2013 novel "Queen's Gambit" by Elizabeth Fremantle, with an emphasis on the costumes, the production design, and the perspective of Parr. He was kind enough to spend a few minutes chatting with us about his film, which you can listen to below. Please be sure to check out the film, which is now playing in theaters from Roadside Attractions. Thank you, and enjoy! Check out more on NextBestPicture.com Please subscribe on...
