First of all, thank you so much, Michelle,

for joining me here today to talk about your newest film, final cut.

A film that I saw at the Tribeca Film Festival most recently.

But I got to tell you, the journey for this film, debuting a Cannes two years ago, supposedly a scheduled, you know, U.S.

premiere over at Sundance, got pushed off.

Just tell me what has it been like for you just in terms of getting this film rolled out

and finally allowing for U.S. audiences to get a chance to see it.

What has that been like for you?

Well, it's...

I was not in a hurry because actually it's a strange story about that movie.

I was working on an animation movie and then came the COVID and the lockdown.

So all the distributors in the world where nobody had money to put in.

And so, so we had to stop. And then I jumped on this one

and I made the movie in 11 months

and all included. So it was like

and we did it just after the lockdown

and so it was a very special energy.
