welcome back to man coverage. I am your host, Mike Payton, of Pride of Detroit. Today we've got another

great guest

with us. Somebody who you have seen around Detroit for a while, but not just Detroit, you've seen

this guy nationwide too at Sports Illustrated. He's been everywhere. Today we've got the athletics

Chris Burke. Chris, thanks for coming on today. Yeah, man. Thanks for having me.

Yeah, we're excited to have you. I know today I'm going to really want to focus a lot about

Sports Illustrated. And I know that you work at the athletic now and I certainly want to talk

about that. But sports illustrated, you know, it's been around for years and years and years.

So I'll be interested to sort of hear some stories about that.

But as I usually do, I kind of like to start at the beginning with my guests.

And you'll be no different.

So I'm just curious, you know, where did you start?

Where did Chris Burke start his life? And, you know, how big you start uh where did chris burke start his his life and and uh you know

how how big was sports growing up uh i'm uh i'm a i'm a life michigander i'm born and raised here

uh it was gross point when i was young and then we moved to grand rapids uh like up through

high school my parents were there for

until i was in my 20s um so yeah i mean i was always around uh the state my dad was a huge sports
