welcome to this very special interview with me Bodead and I am joined by Ben Habib,

ex-MEP and co-deputy leader of Reform UK.

How are you Ben?

I'm very well, Bo, thank you very much for having me on.

No, no, my pleasure.

So first of all, before we get into sort of some policy and all things reform,

first thing to say is that you are actually standing in the

well-inborough by-election, so so at which will be very soon. So tell me a bit

about that how how's it going and why is there a by election in

well number at all? Well the reason that's by election is because Peter Bone

who many will know is to have been an ardent Brexit here, Conservative Party MP

was found to have done things which resulted in a disqualification I I think, for 35 days by memory.

And that entitled the constituents of Wellingborough to do a call back effectively to force a by election and as I

Understand it labor went about getting the requisite number of signatures to force a by election

They got that number late last year again. I think I

came by memory and so a by election was called in the first week of this year I think roughly in the first week of this year the by

election was called and it's to take place on the 15th of February it's an important by-election for Reform UK because this is a Brexit seat.

I think UKIP, which isn't a predecessor of Reform UK, but many will associate with Reform UK because

Nigel was its leader back in 2015, came second here in 2015, and there naturally are kind of people because they're pro Brexit and I think

it's going to be regarded as a kind of litmus test for whether Reform UK can really pack a punch when it comes to an electoral

event.
