the next best series podcast. And today I am joined by the director of American Prime Evil. Peter Berg. Peter,

thank you so much for joining. My pleasure. Nice to see you. You know, the Utah war, I find for history

buffs like myself and someone like my dad, very familiar with this period in American history.

A lot of people, though, not familiar, it's not really something that is focused on heavily in schools these days.

I'm curious when you're directing this project and you're having conversations with Mark L. Smith, the showrunner, do you feel a certain

sense of liberty in a way that the unfamiliarity of people's knowledge with this period gives

you a freedom as a director to have certain liberties with the material? I think not so much take

liberties as to get excited about the fact that

has something really interesting and complex happened in a part of America in 1857 around the

Utah War that people just don't know anything about. And it's kind of exciting to think, wow, we're going to be able to take the audience into
