Hello, this is Justin DeClew with a special interview episode of the Important Cinema Club.

0:10.0

I've known Adam the Riot Thorn for over a decade since he showed up to be an extra zombie

0:16.0

on a short film that I was making. We became friends. He helped me get a job at I-Sour cinema, and we'd

0:21.1

spend hours talking about the weird, forgotten, and all-out bad movies that he genuinely

0:29.3

loved. Since then, Adam has become a filmmaker himself, directing the features Muppet Pastor

0:34.9

and Assault of the Snake Men, and he is also a programmer hosting a

0:40.3

terrible, tuny film screening every month at Isore Cinema, and his own film festival called

0:46.1

the Terrible Today Film Fest. And considering there's a global pandemic going on, this year's

0:51.9

festival will be happening online for free to anybody that wants

0:55.9

to check it out. So I decided to have a talk with Adam to talk about his likes, dislikes,

And while you do kind of laugh with the movies, you approach it from like a different angle right well i'm gonna say

1:28.5

we're not not doing that like i just feel if you really like something you should be able to be

1:34.6

comfortable with making fun of it but you're not like looking down on it and being like look at these

1:38.5

dumb dumbs making these movies that's why we're laughing i mean if someone gets their kicks out of it that way

1:43.7

they get their kicks out of it that way but they get their kicks out of it that way.

1:44.9

But I don't enforce that or push that because when we do any of our shows

1:50.7

or any of our screenings, people are encouraged to,

1:53.9

we're a lot more noisy.

1:56.0

We wouldn't be your usual Alamo draft house film fan audience

1:59.4

because we're not quiet. We do get involved. We do

2:02.5

mock the film. But I feel like at least with the people that I've had at my shows, the gist I give to
