| 0:26.9 | Hello everyone. |
| 0:34.1 | Today I have the pleasure of welcoming onto the podcast Angus Jacobson, a PhD candidate with the University of Tasmania. His research focuses on the relationship between the Seleukid and Antigonid |
| 0:38.7 | dynasties during the early Hellenistic period. And he has joined us on the show to talk about just |
| 0:44.3 | that. Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you so much for taking the time to come on the podcast. |
| 0:49.5 | Thank you so much for having me, Derek. It's a pleasure to be here and a long, long time aspiration as well. |

| 2:00.4 | in a sense. |
| 2:01.3 | It's looking at how the two dynasties use the alliance to control their empires, both internally and externally as well. |
| 2:09.8 | And you might be wondering, like, how do we know about the alliance? |
| 2:13.8 | People might have talked or seen references to the alliance at Rossus, which happens in the wake of Ipsis, Demetrius and Seleucus joined together, join their houses in marriage through Seleucus's marriage to Stratoniki. |
| 2:27.6 | But many people may not know that Antigonus Gannatus, the son of Demetrius, oketes, and Antiochus, the first, the son of |
