Hey now, Kabbalists, and welcome to a very special episode of The Secret Kabbal. Today, I am so happy to be

joined by honorary founder, president of restoration games and my very good friend, Mr. Justin Jacobson.

How you doing today, Justin? I'm doing great. Thank you for having me on. I thought we're going to

be a more exciting topic,

you know, like top 10 games about international logistics or something.

Oh, that would be absolutely fantastic if it was better news.

But yes, Justin, you're here today to talk about this very, very important topic that is going on,

not just in the tabletop gaming industry

and community, but it is a worldwide discussion that is affecting just about everybody in the

entire world, and that is the tariffs that have been recently levied upon numerous countries

across the world by the United States. And, Justin, you are in a unique position to be

able to speak on this topic because, of course, you are the president of Restoration Games.

You publish games that go straight to retail. You also are engaged in crowdfunding campaigns,

some of which are currently in production in China. You also have one that's going to launch very soon.

And also, you're an attorney at law, so you know quite a bit about the law. So we wanted to have

you on today to discuss these tariffs, what they are, how they're affecting the board game industry,

and what we're going to do about it. Sure. I guess I wouldn't say uniquely, but there are

obviously other publishers who are in a similar boat, but certainly, you know, compared to sort of just a hobby gamer who only engages with the hobby from the consumer side, it can be hard to get a lot of it from get information and a lot of good information about what is actually going on with the tariffs, how they work, what's happening, how they're impacting and how they're going to be impacting the fans, the people who go out there and buy the game.
