I saw this podcast, popped on my phone before I got up and I'm like, hmm, a podcast about my dad.

Let me see what this is about. Let me see who's claiming they know what really happened.

I was cringing a little bit when I listened to the podcast that I heard so many people think they know what my dad is made of and who he is.

But you know, you seem to try to do reporting and come up with a theory about that.

That attempted suicide by the man named Joseph, but any who.

First, I had been working on this story for years.

It took place on January 19, 1981 in Los Angeles.

A man named Joseph didn't want to live anymore.

He was threatening to jump off the ninth floor of an office building.

For a couple of hours, multiple people tried to talk Joseph down, a priest, a psychiatrist and the LAPD.

But no luck.

As the minutes turned into hours, about 200 people gathered and looked up, waiting to see what would happen.

And then, like Superman, Muhammad Ali showed up, wearing a pristine suit, the LAPD allowed him up the nine floors.
