I'm David Canfield, I'm all by myself today.

But this is a really fun interview episode to close out the Emmy voting window.

We have two very special directors on the show today,

the first of whom I interviewed.

And that's Peter Hor, the director of the last of us and the second of whom is Dan Trachtenberg, the director of Pre.

First we'll go to my conversation with Peter.

He's a real TV journeyman.

And one thing we really got into was just the fact that he has been working in this medium for such a long time

in a capacity that often does not get as much respect as writers for television or directors for film.

But Peter Hor has done a really interesting job of making a name for himself.

He went a BAFTA a few years ago for It's A Sin, the HBO Max mini series,

which he helms in its entirety.

And he's gotten a lot of attention for the standalone episode of the last of us,

Long Long Time, which stars Murray Bartlett and Nick Offerman as a couple
