Hey everybody, Rob Mauer here and today we have the good fortune to be joined by Jimmy

Sony, who is the author of a book that was published earlier this year, The Founders,

which covers the story of Elon Musk and PayPal the very early days all the way through the

eventual merger, you know IPO merger with PayPal or merger with eBay rather, and then

the eventual spin off back just to PayPal.

So, um, tons of interesting stuff in here.

I think the timing could not be any better with what we've got going on with Elon and Twitter

lately.

I found it super insightful just to learn a little bit more about Elon and, um, though,

you know, those are early days.

This must have been a ton of work anyway, Jimmy.

You want to give a quick, uh, quick intro and some absence of that.

Yeah.

I mean, I, you know, in some ways, you don't want to, I don't want to say much more than that.

It was a great intro, but I really appreciate you taking them to talk to me, taking time

to read the book, um, which is called The Founders.

You had mentioned the one piece of it, which it was a lot of work, it was sort of six years

of research and interviewing and time and, um, and the joke, uh, one board member like

gently ribbed me, he was like, you spent more time writing the book than I spent creating

the company.

That's actually amazing.
