always to be the core of the show.

I also want to talk to other people about what they're up to in the world,

how they're making sense of our increasingly chaotic digital landscape and how they're finding

some degree of coherency, clarity, wisdom in the messy chaotic world that we live in. My guest today is one of the most

interesting people thinking about all of those issues. Her name is Mary

Harrington. A little bit like another previous guest Emmett Penny, Mary found her way into not necessarily

right wing but just dissident circles after leaving the left after sort of departing from the woke universe

and from gender studies and critical theory and all that.

We're going to talk with her about that journey,

but we're also going to talk about her book feminism against progress and what it means to be a

reactionary feminist that is to care about think about women's issues and sex differences more generally, but nevertheless to reject this kind of

triumphalist notion of an eternal upward march away from the evil nasty past. Mary has fascinating ideas and writes very eloquently about

why we're actually seeing the current crisis between the sexes that we're seeing as well as some of the

other incredibly disorienting and difficult issues

that we're dealing with in the moment.
