And if you've listened to this podcast for any length of time, you know that I have very little truck with feminism of any variety basically post suffrage

and that's because I think it presents a degraded and dishonest picture of women and men and I'm going to talk to Helen about this you know

feminism of of its various permutations and forms has really

destroyed our sense of what it means to have masculine and feminine virtue distinctively, each in the manner appropriate to the sexes.

When we talked about virtue, and I talked about courage, especially I talked about the different ways in which our human nature

finds its expression in our maleness and femaleness.

These are things that are now totally retrograde and unpopular to say, and yet they're true. They remain true.

No amount of wishing them away is going to stop them from existing. No political

program can erase them or undo them and so because they remain true, trying to deny them has driven people

insane. And predictably, I think, in that story as part of that process

feminism has created a backlash and now that backlash has a life of its own
