Hi, it's great to be here. Yeah, so what are we talking about? Well, mainly we're talking about your brand new book,

the secret history of Mac Gaming. We'll talk about your other outlets later on as well.

But specifically, yeah, I'm really interested in this because definitely Mac Gaming is something that certainly I think for a lot of people is an afterthought.

But actually there is a history there and it has a life of its own,

as well as getting ports of other systems games.

And yeah, so what inspired you?

Was it a personal history of Mac gaming or was it this is just a curious niche of gaming history

that hasn't yet been fully explored?

Certainly the thing that got me interested in doing the project was it was my personal

connection to it.

I'm not sure how aware of it I would have been if I hadn't grown up using Macs.

So from as early as I can remember and probably even before that, I was using Max.

My dad bought a Macintosh Plus around the time that came out in 86 or maybe 87, I'm not sure exactly.

So that goes back a long way.

And some of my earliest memories, both of computers and games and just in general, I were

using that machine.

And then all through the 90s and the 2000s, I continued

to be a Mac user. And while I did play some games on other systems, I had like a Super

Nintendo or a PlayStation, a Game Boy. And my brother had a Windows laptop. So I got to experience a pretty wide range of games.

I played a lot of games on the Mac.

And I was finding that many of those games were, they were kind of unique.
