Hi folks, welcome to this episode of Kane and Rind's Interview Extra, where we sit down for a chat with people doing interesting things in the world of gaming.

Today I'm going to be talking to Edenol, the main organiser of the European Speed Runner Assembly.

ESA has grown to include a variety of events throughout the year, including a presence at Twitchcon in Berlin, but the main event is in Malmur, Sweden,

every year in late July. Last year's event raised a whopping $100,000 for Save the Children.

But ESA is much more than a charity event. It is also a place for people to swap tips and tricks on

speed running and to meet up with friends from all over the world. In 2018, speed running records

were smashed to smithereens and a good time was had by all, including me. I'm looking forward to

having a chat about the ins and outs of arranging a massive charity event with a bunch of audio

visual equipment, as well as talking about the flourishing speed running movement and the direction that speed running events will take in the future.

Yeah, so Mafia, maybe this is, this might be not the best place to start the interview, but maybe if you could explain to the listeners the tradition of Mafia at European Speed Runner Assembly.

Oh, sure. I don't know exactly when it started, but it became popular in 2015.
