I'm your host, Kat Bailey. And with me today is a special guest, Tyler Sigmundman, design director of Darkest Dungeon. Welcome to the show.

Thank you. I love the show title. I think that alone should get awards. It should be an item over in Darkest Dungeon. It would be a really great trinket, I think.

That's well-timed because I'm in the process of kind of going through all the backer design trinkets.

There's about 400 from our Kickstarter campaign, and I'm trying to get those launched later in the week.

So maybe I'll sneak one of those in.

Knowing your game, the Blood god would probably be a boss in, say, maybe the wheeled?

Yeah, actually, I think, or the warrants, perhaps, where we've got the formless flesh.

That sounds kind of a, that sounds like a blood god would be a nice

little sidekick for him. Yes, the blood god is just a sidekick in the terror and the horror

of Darkest Dungeon. There's levels and levels of horror. So, you know, not everybody could be

top horror dog at once. Well, as I said, Darkest Dungeon came out yesterday, but it's been in early access for

about a year now. I first discovered it at Pax Prime 2014. I was really drawn in by the look of the game.

It's 2D. Really striking art style, very dark. I'm a sucker for any

party-based, turn-based game. I was like, this game is definitely for me. So I've been playing it

on and off for about a year now, but I've really dived in like hardcore this over the past couple weeks.

For people who aren't super familiar with Darkest Dungeon, it is, it's a rogue-like,

where you take very, where you recruit party members who come in through a stagecoach,

you go into one of four dungeons in the game and essentially you just try to make progress.
