beautiful game with me Kevin Day and Liverpool University's Kiran Maguire. It's another

about special separate interview pods Kiran and I know you enjoyed doing this one before

you did the big intro. Yeah Mark, Mark was absolutely fantastic. One of the most passionate

people about football I've ever met. As I'm sure many of our listeners Kiran played as we did

for Sunday lead teams and if you're in a field like me you mown block a toddler and you're

asked to carry the crossbar, wash the kit or mark the 647 in striker at corners. Some people

were happy to do all those things and with remarkable success eventually. Kiran spoke to Mark

Wyatt, who's a founder, chairman, manager and owner of Dawking Wonders about their remarkable rise

to the national league. So Mark, thanks so much for coming on the show. Could you sort of start for

people that don't know, tell us a bit about yourself and the town of Dawking, how you came to

gather and how you've got to where you are today? Well, we just started the obligatory sort of

pub side really and me and my friend, we were a little bit disillusioned with following

Wendell and around the country spending a bit too much money and we started what was a

akin to a pub team on a Saturday and that was 23 years ago. Seems like I know yesterday to be fair.

We really missed those days as well but it's certainly far removed from going to the pub and

getting some sausage rolls in the beer afterwards. But yeah, so it's developed exponentially,

you could say really on and off the field, unique story. We're proud of it. It's taken over our

lives and that's where we are today. And is it you and the same guys or is it sort of some have

dropped out and some have come back in or how has it developed in terms of the personnel?

Do you know what? Everybody who's ever been involved is still involved, but yeah, largely

in different capacities, sometimes now some of the original lads are up in the bar with their
